With the incredible increase of data generated by IoT and industrial systems, and with the goal to run real time analytics on these data, there is a real need for high performance storage near the sensors. The only way to record this high throughput of data is to use the state of the art of Solid State Drives: NVMe SSDs.
IP-Maker designed a NVMe Host IP, to be integrated in a FPGA platform, for an easy connection between a NVMe SSD and a FPGA. It reaches up to 3GB/s bandwidth, without requiring any high-end CPU. Therefore it delivers a best-in-class performance/power/cost ratio.

Easy NVMe Host IP
The Easy NVMe Host IP comes as a RTL IP for FPGA. This IP has been designed for an easy integration:
-Avalon and AXI interfaces for both Intel and Xilinx FPGAs
-No need to be a NVMe expert : Automatic PCIe and NVMe initialization
For a more integrated solution, the IP-Maker Nandflash controller allows the direct connection between Nandflash memories and a FPGA. It is ONFI compliant and supports SLC/MLC/TLC nandflash memories.
Target applications include (but not limited to) data recorder, data logger, network traffic monitoring, testbench, medical imaging and IoT gateway.
